Covalo Industries is a proud supporter of the Carnegie Mellon Racing team. We are highly interested in the success of the students and their professional development. We support gear manufacturing services and design services for the teams drive train. As a team we are very proud to be able to power the gearbox and offer our professional engineering services.

Anyway that we can see the team succeed in this upcoming 2025 race season motivates us!

The Team

Carnegie Mellon Racing is made up of undergraduate students from a range of disciplines within the College of Engineering and the University at large. Each year students collaborate to design, manufacture, and race a brand new Formula style electric race car. This year is the eighth in which CMR will compete in the electric division of the FSAE circuit.

The Competition

Formula SAE is a series of international collegiate competitions organized and run by the Society of Automotive Engineers. Student teams must engineer and build a prototype race vehicle to showcase its performance and design to technical experts in order to win a fictional contract.
